Problem Within the Yankees--November Post

The Yankees had a bad year in 2007, it was the first time since 1994 that the Yankees did not win the ALDS. As you can imagine, George Steinbrenner was furious. Can you blame him? This company sends hundreds of millions each year to help the team make it at least that far, if not win the World Series and all it's entirely. Here is a link to a websites that addresses this problem,http://www.nytimes.com/2007/10/30/sports/baseball/30yankees.html In this web page, it explains what Steinbrenner did to correct the problem at hand. Besides trading some of the players who did not contribute as much as they should have, Steinbreener also fired Joe Torre. He then hired Joe Girardi as the new Yankee's manager. Girardi chose the #27 for his jersey, as a symbol of what he was going to help accomplish. And what happened this year? Yankees won their 27Th W.S. of course!
