I think this a great and comical commercial! The message is crystal clear. It simply implies it is better to be anything else other than a Red Sox fan.
Dads are suppose to be supportive with their sons no matter what. In the video the dad is explaining his feelings about his younger son. He wishes his son could be more like his older son who happens to be very flamboyant; something most dad would dread. Not this dad, as a true Yankees fan, he knows it's far worst to be a Red Sox fan.
